The Day

As sure as the light will come
As sure as the sun will shimmer
As we welcome on the dawn
The wood pigeon will witter

it will ignite a golden flame
That looms over fields sublime
The western sky will call blue
And the answer will come anew

As evening begins to dance in its hall
The sun will disappear below the west
Skies darken and dim, until
They paint a new colour
Ready to go ‘round again

What makes us human, I believe is becoming to be stamped out. Words are so important, both spoken and on the page. Words make up the most powerful elements of our humanity. So, I'm feeling supersonic, why me why not? SF
