As sure as the light will come As sure as the sun will shimmer As we welcome on the dawn The wood pigeon will witter
it will ignite a golden flame That looms over fields sublime The western sky will call blue And the answer will come anew
As evening begins to dance in its hall The sun will disappear below the west Skies darken and dim, until They paint a new colour Ready to go ‘round again
